Gotland is an island and Swedish Province located 90km from the Swedish mainland and is the largest island in the Baltic Sea.
Predominantly centred on agriculture the island of Gotland is a land of spectacular scenery and untouched landscapes. Rolling hills and craggy beaches are the scene of this medieval Swedish island.
The main town on the island and centre of most of the population is Visby a medieval town that has been recognised by the UNESCO world Heritage program.
Gotland is probably best known for its 94 working medieval churches scattered across the island.
